RGF Support for Princess Yachts
Princess Yachts is one of a number of businesses in the region to have received support from the Government’s Regional Growth Fund. It plans to create a new boat building facility in the Devonport Dockyard’s South Yard. The site will be used to produce Princess M Class yachts. The M Class will comprise a range of vessels of 100′ and more in length. It is planned to be operational by 2013.
Chris Gates, Managing Director of Princess Yachts, said:
“I am delighted that the Government has decided to back our investment in a new production facility to meet the global demand for larger vessels. This recognises the fantastic work being achieved by our company as it competes on a global stage from its Plymouth base.”
