Ingrid Palmer

Ingrid is a Solicitor specialising in Private Client work including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate.  She has worked in the legal profession since 1979 and has a wealth of experience in areas including Litigation and Conveyancing.  The knowledge she acquired in these disciplines help her considerably in her Private Client work.

Qualifying initially as a Legal Executive, Ingrid then continued her studies to become a Solicitor, qualifying in 1992.  She joined the Private Client Department here at SWLaw Solicitors and works closely with Casey Shenton-Hill to deliver a high quality and efficient service to all our clients.

Working with clients to achieve their aims is at the forefront of Ingrid’s work ethic.  She and Casey seek to understand their clients’ objectives and then works with them to meet those objectives in the best possible way.  Casey and Ingrid are able to explain the law in a straightforward manner so that the client understands the options available to them and make a fully informed decision.  Many clients have sensitive personal issues to contend with and Ingrid and Casey understand this, having seen virtually every family scenario in their working lives.  This gives them the ability to appreciate the client’s point of view but, at the same time, advise the client in clear terms.

Ingrid has lived in south Devon all her life and has a particular love of Dartmoor.  Her main interests are reading, gardening (a constant battle with brambles and bind weed), walking, cycling, live music and trips to the cinema.
