Rob returned to the South West in 2010 having graduated from the University of Stirling with an undergraduate degree in Economics and a Master of Science degree in Finance. He spent the next 5 years working with both corporate and personal insolvency before joining SWLaw Investment & Financial Planning.
Rob has gained the Diploma of the Personal Finance Society (DipPFS) and the CII Certificate in Advanced Mortgage Advice. Rob’s primary role involves providing technical support to our IFAs and aiding clients with mortgage applications and refinancing. Rob also hosts the SWDevon Business Network at the Watermark Centre in Ivybridge.
In addition, Rob is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association having completed his Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency in 2013 and continues to study for formal accountancy qualifications with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
When he's not revising for exams or completing one of his numerous annual subscriptions, Rob enjoys walking the dogs and frustrating motorists on his bicycle. Rob recently participated in the Ronde Van Vlaanderen 150 mile cyclo-sportive and regularly competes in licensed British Cycling road races.
On the rare occasions Rob's not clad in lycra, as an avid Manchester United fan, he's almost certainly at Old Trafford enduring the latest Glazer orchestrated debacle. Rob also occasionally plays a game bordering on golf and enjoys football (when his knees allow). This general passion for sport has led to Rob providing commentary and audio description at a number of major sporting events including the 2014 Commonwealth Games and Premier League football. He patiently awaits John Motson's retirement.
