Eric holds the rare distinction of being experienced and qualified as both a solicitor and a financial adviser. With over 30 years experience in both disciplines, he can offer a unique perspective in his approach to client service. This has fuelled his determination to develop and grow a business concept which provides clients with very high quality and long term legal and financial advice.

Trained as a solicitor in Manchester qualifying in 1979, Eric later worked at the College of Law where he prepared students for the Solicitors' Qualifying Examinations and also took part in the College's programme of Continuing Professional Development for the profession.

Following a move to the Westcountry in 1987, Eric gained qualifications in Investment and Financial Planning. The financial planning practice was established in 1990 with the aims of delivering high professional standards and developing long term client relationships. Many of those early clients remain with us today.

At the same time, Eric continued to undertake legal work eventually deciding to establish his own practice in 1996. Since that time, he has operated the two complementary practices.

As a general practitioner, Eric, has built up teams to support different aspects of the work of the practices.

Away from work, Eric takes full advantage of Dartmoor, the South Devon coastline and the countryside in between. He has always enjoyed being outdoors, on the water (sailing / kayaking) or in the mountains (walking / skiing). He enjoys walking with Ben & Digby (Snr & Jnr Border Collies). You may see him out cycling or playing (badly) the occasional round of golf. Eric also has a keen interest in photography.
